Introduction
Aerospace Training Services was established in 1996 to provide quality aviation maintenance training and training support to Australian General Aviation, Regional Passenger Transport industries and the aviation elements of the Australian Defence Force.
As the company has grown Aerospace Training Services has developed a dedication to providing initial aviation training to young people through its innovative Higher School Certificate programs, aviation traineeships, external studies for long distance students and more recently its apprenticship training programs.
ATS's head office is located in Nowra at the RAN Fleet Air Arm Museum, 2½ hours from Sydney on the NSW picturesque south coast.

Aerospace Training Services is committed to the educational needs of both individuals and companies throughout all levels of the aviation industry by providing quality, nationally recognised and accredited aviation training.
With the Higher School Certificate course in its 10th year and the apprenticeship training program well underway, more young Australians have the opportunity to start their careers in the maintenance sections of the aviation industry, ensuring the continual development and growth of the Australian aviation industry as a whole.
Staff and Instructors
Ken Mitchell
(Director & Senior Instructor)
After completing 20 years service with the Royal Australian Navy as an airframe/engine technician, Ken Mitchell retired as a Warrant Officer in January 1997. He has extensive experience in both workshop and operational aviation environments as well as aviation training analysis, design, implementation and evaluation.
Ken has been a training consultant to the RAN units involved in a range of training development and evaluation programs covering mechanical, electrical systems and navigation courses.
Ken has an extensive range of skills relating to management, training and competency based education.
Theresa Mitchell
(Director & Training Manager)
Theresa has over 20 years experience within the computer science field relating to software engineering, microcomputers, computing systems and databases. She has developed a wide range of computer software and database systems which have been implemented by ATS.
Theresa has a Master of Professional Education and Training in which her main focus was the understanding of adult learning. She also posses a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Currently Theresa is working on her PHD.
With experience as a mathematics teacher for TAFE and HSC tutoring in mathematics, physics and computing, Theresa has a lot to offer ATS in a wide range of areas.
