THE BILLBOARD...

Tracey Wood has posed the question...

I thought that getting some feedback from the "network" may be beneficial before outlaying the funds for a goat handler.

I'm currently researching a couple of options for goat handlers that I could operate by myself. Most of the time I have an offsider helping me but there are many occasions when I would like to work on the girls feet etc and am unable to handle them by myself into a yolk.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has some suggestions on good systems better still if there are any ideas on where to pick one up second hand.

Hi. Sorry I can't be of help. I live in Sydney so I have someone near my farm checking up on my goats. Mind you, I had to pick up a few of my goats on one occasionto move them - but that's when they were little things.

All the best

Nick

I recieved your news letter all good stuff. Sharing drenches would be a great way of reducing cost, I have Ivomec injectable if anyone would like some.

Regards a goat handler i've seen some excellant one person sheep handling ones at field days that tip the animal one it's back and they end up at waist height. Try Arrow Farmquip freecall 1800814107 see what they have gotto get some ideas and look around for second hand.
